Tips on buying a car.

So i've been reflecting on how much i suck at buying cars and i decided to make a list of things to do when buying a car.

*Rule 1: Give yourself some time. I have been searching for about a month and I have seen one good car. (I didn't buy it because someone got there before I did) So I'd say a good time amount to give yourself is 1-3 months.

Rule 2: Don't be nice. I know that this isn't right, but there are gonna be people out there who aren't nice and will take advantage of that. If you want to be nice, do it after you have bought the car and everything is good.

Rule 3: Test drive the car for about 25 minutes. Get about 10 in the city and 15 in the highway. (this gives adequate time to see if the car will overheat.) Make sure to go over some speed bumps to check out the cars suspension system.

Rule 4: The person selling the car will always say that they've got a lot of emails from people asking for the car. Don't let them bully you. It might be true but chances are only 1 or 2 of them will actually meet up.

Rule 5: Don't be afraid to lowball after looking at the car.

Rule 6: If you know someone who is really knowledgeable about cars; bring em!
